preparing for YOUR APPOINTMENT:
-Avoid brushing teeth and gums 6-12 hours prior to your whitening appointment.
-Make sure you are well hydrated with water prior to your appointment. This will reduce the risk of any sensitivities.
-Eat prior to your appointment because you will not be able to eat for 2 hours after your appointment while the pores of your teeth are still open. Water is okay and recommended during this time.
-The whitening process continues for 24 hours after your session. During this time it is crucial that you avoid any dark foods, beverages or other substances that could re-stain your teeth. Also avoid sugar for 24 hours including all alcoholic beverages.
-After your appointment when you brush your teeth make sure it is a white tooth paste, free of baking soda or whitening ingredients and that you brush gently and avoid the gums.
-Desensitizing gel is given to you to take home and use as needed, although discomfort rarely occurs.
-You are welcome to bring headphones to listen to a podcast, book or music during the whitening process.
